As an established steel structure manufacturer based in China, LWY Steel Structure produces high-performance galvanized steel platforms engineered to maximize industrial floor space, streamline material handling, and deliver long-term structural safety. Designed for heavy-duty storage mezzanines, equipment access towers, and industrial maintenance catwalks, our platforms feature load capacities tailored from 300 kg/m²- 2,000 kg/m².
LWY Steel Structure is a Galvanized Steel Platform manufacturer. At LWY Steel Structure, we have an annual processing capacity of over 20,000 tons of steel components and 500,000 square meters of maintenance materials. Every structural beam, column, and flooring panel undergoes hot-dip galvanizing with a guaranteed zinc coating thickness of 85 µm to 120 µm, ensuring zero rust maintenance and a service lifespan exceeding 30 years—even in harsh coastal, chemical, or outdoor environments. Sourcing directly from a trusted China supplier like LWY eliminates intermediate distributor margins while granting global buyers direct engineering oversight, mill test certificates, and 100% pre-assembly quality inspections.
Beyond structural strength, LWY focuses heavily on project efficiency and site safety. Our pre-engineered, fully modular galvanized steel platform components require zero on-site welding, cutting field installation time and local site labor costs by up to 40%. Each platform system can be equipped with anti-slip bar grating, safety handrails, self-closing swing gates, and integrated kickplates to ensure full worker safety compliance.
The zinc layer forms a dense, hard barrier that isolates the steel from moisture and oxygen. With a typical coating thickness of 65–85 microns, this platform maintains its structural integrity for 30 to 50 years in industrial atmospheric environments.
Zinc is more electrochemically active than steel. Where the coating is scratched or cut — at bolt holes, welds, and edges — the surrounding zinc corrodes first, protecting the exposed steel. Painted surfaces offer no such self-defense.
When a galvanized platform is drilled or cut on site, the zinc adjacent to the cut corrodes preferentially and deposits protective compounds over the exposed steel, sealing small damages automatically.
Fabricated steel is degreased, pickled in acid to remove mill scale and rust, and fluxed. Clean steel is the foundation of a durable zinc bond.
The cleaned components are immersed in molten zinc at approximately 450°C. The zinc alloys with the steel surface, forming metallurgically bonded layers — not a painted film.
After withdrawal, the coating is cooled and inspected. Zinc thickness is measured with a magnetic thickness gauge at multiple points per component, and the results are recorded in the batch report.
Galvanized steel platforms from LWY Steel Structure are used for:
Machine access and operation platforms in workshops
Storage and picking platforms in warehouses
Inspection and maintenance platforms outdoors
Roof access platforms and plant walkways
Coastal and marine-adjacent facilities where painted steel corrodes
The products also suit food and beverage plants, where the zinc coating is easy to keep clean and free of rust staining.

For outdoor applications—such as humid factory settings, chemical environments, and coastal areas—galvanizing generally offers a superior advantage in terms of total cost of ownership; conversely, for indoor platforms where the environment is clean and dry and the expected service life is shorter, painting is the more economical choice. We offer both options and will recommend the most suitable solution based on your specific site conditions.

A galvanized platform needs inspection, not routine painting. Check coating condition at connections and cut edges once a year; small damaged areas can be repaired with zinc-rich repair paint.
Do not bolt bare stainless steel or copper directly to galvanized surfaces in wet environments — galvanic corrosion can damage the zinc. Use isolating washers where such connections are unavoidable.
Ensure platform decking and channels drain freely; standing water shortens the life of any coating.
A1: Typical coating thickness is 65–85 μm per ISO 1461, measured with a magnetic thickness gauge at multiple points on every component. The measurement report is included with the delivery.
A2: In industrial atmospheres, 30–50 years. In coastal or marine air the life is shorter but still far exceeds painted steel — which is why galvanizing is standard for port and coastal facilities.
A3: Yes. Where site modifications are necessary, cut edges are protected by the surrounding zinc automatically, and can be touched up with zinc-rich paint for extra security. We also supply all cutting and connection details in the drawings.
A4: Fabrication is in-house; galvanizing is performed by our qualified partner bath in Qingdao with full coating inspection. This keeps the process controlled while maintaining the bath capacity and quality large platforms need.
A5: Standard galvanized platforms are delivered within 30 days of design confirmation, including the galvanizing cycle. Multi-level or large platforms may ship partially.
