Production process of steel structure processing plant

The production process of steel structure processing plant mainly includes the following steps:

1. Procurement and acceptance of steel

We can customize American standard, European standard and other steel that meet the requirements of users, and attach strict quality standards and quality certification documents. After the steel arrives, strict and detailed inspections are carried out, including chemical composition, mechanical properties (such as yield strength, tensile strength, elongation, etc.) testing, to ensure that each batch of steel meets the design requirements of steel structure plant.

2. Steel pretreatment

After the steel enters the factory and enters the warehouse, the steel is pretreated, mainly including correction and surface cleaning. Correction is for steel that has deformed during transportation or storage, and it is restored to flatness by mechanical correction or flame correction. Surface cleaning is mostly done by shot blasting to remove impurities such as rust, oil, scale, etc., while making the steel surface rough to enhance the adhesion of subsequent coating.

3. Steel Cutting

We cut steel into the required shapes and sizes strictly according to Steel Structure Factory's design drawings. While most manufacturers typically use flame cutting, plasma cutting, and other cutting methods, our factory uses state-of-the-art laser cutting equipment for precision cutting of plates and profiles. Cutting and punching are completed in one step. Cutting is performed strictly according to the drawing dimensions, and the cut parts are numbered for easy assembly.

4. Processing of Steel Structure Parts

Cut parts require further processing, including milling and bending. Milling is used to create flat surfaces and notches, while bending is used to bend the steel into the desired angles and shapes. During the processing, our quality inspectors strictly follow Steel Structure Factory's design drawings to ensure that each part is machined to the required precision.

5. Assembly and welding of steel structures

Assemble the processed parts and fix them firmly. Then welding is carried out. Our factory uses carbon dioxide gas shielded welding, submerged arc welding, etc. We will need suitable welding wire, flux and welding shielding gas according to different steel materials. Different welding methods are suitable for different welding positions and steel thicknesses. During the welding process, the welding process parameters must be strictly followed, and the weld appearance inspection and internal quality inspection must be carried out to ensure that the weld is free of defects such as pores, cracks, and slag inclusions.

6. Steel structure coating protection

Steel Structure Factory employs various coating methods, including galvanizing, painting, and galvanizing followed by painting, depending on the client's application. Before painting, the surface must be cleaned again to remove impurities such as welding slag and spatter. Primer, midcoat, and topcoat are then applied in sequence. We can also customize color options based on client needs. During the painting process, the thickness of each coat and the interval between coats must be strictly controlled to ensure a uniform and complete finish.

7. Quality inspection and delivery of steel structures

Every stage of steel structure production undergoes rigorous quality inspections, including raw material inspection, component processing inspection, welding quality inspection, and painting quality inspection. After the Steel Structure Factory completes production, a comprehensive quality inspection is conducted. Inspections cover aspects such as overall dimensions, overall flatness, weld quality, and painting quality, ensuring compliance with design and relevant standards. Upon passing inspection, the product's construction drawings are clearly numbered. Only products that pass rigorous inspections and meet all requirements are released from the factory and shipped to the customer's designated location.
