On November 5, 2025, Liweiyuan steel structure technical engineers made a breakthrough in the processing of steel structural tie rods. Through technical optimization, process adjustment and continuous equipment improvement, they upgraded the rod processing technology and successfully achieved weld-free connection of long rods. Compared with traditional processes, the processing efficiency is increased by 80%, and the error is controlled within 1mm,effectively solving the pain points of traditional processes.
Traditional steel structural tie rods are welded with cutting wires, which are prone to problems such as insufficient weld penetration, fracture, substandard verticality, and poor aesthetics, which increases subsequent adjustment costs and safety hazards. In order to solve this problem, the technical team of the engineering department used the BIM model to simulate the stress state of the tie rod through continuous research and experiments, and improved the thread machining accuracy at both ends of the tie rod from ±2mm to ± 0.5 mm. At the same time, custom-designed clamps are also used for quick fixing.
This process has been verified by a third-party testing agency, and its stability meets the requirements of the national "Steel Structure Engineering Construction Quality Acceptance Standards".
The project technical person in charge said that this improvement provides a replicable and accurate solution for the processing of steel structural rods, and will be promoted and applied in other steel structure projects of the company in the future to promote the intelligent and standardized construction process.
